any body got pics of where the two vacuum lines from the c.c. modulator is supposed to go? the former owner of my car cut them. Ya know, the more I think about it, the more I think this car was raced.

I don't have a picture, but the lines go to a black box (vacuum reservoir) under the driver side fender area.

Yeah the little black box that makes changing fog lights such a PITA.

oh. I guess I'm missing that black box. My fender splash guard is also gone. When you open the hood, and look at the brake booster, the hose that is pointing right at you has been cut off about 3 inches from the end of the nipple and plugged with a bolt. All I have is the canister/modulator thingy with connector and a small and large vacuum line plugged off. I guess a beat down of former owners is on the agenda.

I'm a stickler for maintenance. I guess it's time to get the pitchforks and hangin' ropes and go get my *(#* black box.

You could in fact hook a vaccum line up directly to the cruise control unit. It might not stay on up a big hill though. Or maybe it didn't work anyhow so some hack mechanic cut it out of the way when they were doing who-knows to repair the car.

you might be right. I wish I new how to post pics on this forum and I'd show you just how bad its been treated. The car has a cracked front bumper cover that is haywired to the fender, of course the problem with the cruise, a worn out spare, and oil/dirt/grease/monkey poo (made that one up) under the hood. POORLY taken care of. BUTTTTTTT, that's ok. Daddy's got it now. ahahhahahahhahahhahahahhhahhahhahahahhahahahhahahahha. ha.

This is exactly what I did. I removed my "black box" all together because it was cracked. I just hooked up the vacuum line from the servo into the brake booster line. If I remember right there are 2 lines in the black box. I'm guessing that if you run hose from the servo to one of the "cut" hoses you'll have your vacuum source and your cruise should start working.
