Don't bother trying, it usually falls on deaf ears.

Or invite them to go to the track with you. That worked best for me and my cars are slow.

Yep, another vote for chicks car.

It's so easy to work on, even a chick can do it.

Been driving Neons since 1995,mostlyin the SouthEast US. I long ago stopped worrying about what anybody else thought about them. Even I think they are very ugly, but that is the only thing that I don't like about them.

My friends call my Lincoln TownCar an old mans car, I don't care about that either.

Sorry man, they are pretty women'ish. As for proving it's not, I hav a plan for ya, if it's a manual tranny, get it rolling back ward, put it in 1st rev it to about 5k and dump the clutch and NAIL it to the floorboard, will show them! Just be prepared to replace your tranny... :D or you could just pull the e-brake, again rev to about 5k and dump the clutch. Now if it's an auto, then i don't know how to help ya, sorry.. :( You could get some of those rubber nuts to hang from the rear bumper. :P

Then rubber nuts it is!!!

But seriously, who cares what people think, as long as YOU like it. I got alot of grief for buying one, after I pulled that burnout stunt, ALOT of the people that gave me crap, have NEVER said anything bad about it since. I took my sisters girlfriend on a ride (she always was making fun of it), and lets just say she has a new found respect for it. ;)

I just went to the track.. showed my time slips.. and after I lost my timeslips I'd either just let em drive it or take em for a ride. Actually I was kinda surprised at the low end the car had compared to other 4 cylinders I have driven.

My x-friends Golf was pretty gutless, 115hp sohc, wasn't too bad, but was pretty slow, didn't stand a chance in hell against my 150hp DOHC... :) I too was impressed with the grunt the Neon has.

Well I was talking crank numbers, but still, 120whp vs roughly 95whp.

lol if its a auto don't worry about the line cause it sucks, take it off 30 - 35, espec if you have intake and exhaust, sounds mean and will take off like a bat out of hell

It has a pretty mean exhaust on it and many heads have turned when I accelerate off an intersection everything else is stock (1996 model)..

i guess you would get the same amount of crap if you drive other type of cars as well (eg volvo, beetle etc..)

personally i don't care about what they say, besides, once they go for a drive with me in the car they tend to take back what they said previously.
