i have a 1998 dodge neon i keep getting a p0140 code which i know is something to to with the down stream O2 sensor. but i have the stage one pcm from modern performance which eliminates EGR, down stream o2 and cat. so i dont know what it is. i have a brand new air filter in it. the code will go away by its self randomly and the will come back randomly. there is no change in performance what so ever when the light is on. need some more ideas.

Click the ignore button.

Only the 95 Mopar PCM deletes the downstream 02 sensor.

96 and up don't.

If you're worried about the light, and you don't have a cat, install one of those CEL Eliminator tubes on your downstream o2 sensor. It'll work. I've seen a few go for 15.00. They're all the same.

the pcm i have def eliminates the downs stream o2. i have had the car for about a year with no down stream o2 and have never had a code. i have never had and o2 sensor in there since the day i put in the pcm. its just a bum plug.

Ok, for some reason sometimes my ecu doesn't always trip the code either for the downstream even though there is no sensor there. Flylike2kites is right about the pcm also, only ecu from 96-99 that deleted that code is an afx ecu. Just because the lights not on doesn't mean the ecu doesn't know, with a scanner mine always comes up as "pending". Then when it decides to it moves it to current and cel comes on
