Hi all,
05' Neon Windshield Washer Pump quit working. Is their a fuse or relay for this pump to be found? Also, if the pump is fried, can it be removed from the Fluid tank and be replaced?

Thanks,
bill

No Relay but there is a fuse in the cabin panel.
Check that and see what info it can give ya.
I think you might be able to just put in a new pump but im not 100% sure.

A saw a fuse there for the wiper system, but thats all. I suppose that would control the washer pump too. Fuse is OK and wipers work OK!

Thanks,
bill

I just checked the FSM and turns out it looks like you can service just the pump and not the whole assembly. Says that its just pressed in there. Just pry it off safely trying not to puncture the tank.

Yep,
pump is toast! It wiggles out of the reservoir pretty easily. And $90 for OEM?? :o That's just plain crazy!! :P
I'll have to rig up a universal pump from an Auto parts store.

Cheers,
bill

$90 just for the OEM pump! I would check JYs nearby first.

bone yard for sure on that. Or just get a part store one. if your lucky the pump will have the same connector. If it was a first gen I would have a few of em for ya...

No way would I pay that much for a washer pump. I had a hard time paying 48 for a rad fan relay yesterday when mine took a crap on me and my fans stopped working causing my car to get hot.

I picked up a Trico Washer Pump from Canadian Tire. Model # 11-603. I'm sure it's available at any Auto Parts Store! It plugged right into the fluid tank. I cut the OEM connector of the factory wire and put a pair of slip on connectors to connect to the Trico.
Works perfectly!!
Price......$22 CAD. :D Time.....10 minutes!! :D

Cheers and thanks for the help!!
