man, I swear you have more MS issues within 6 months than I had in three years, I had always planned to upgrade the VB921s...but never got to it since they never gave me an issue....wonder why they fried to begin with?

I'm calling for an update! whats the latest issue? heh, I'm finally going to be getting my '97 SOHC on the road again after I pick up an engine this week....it just wont be the same though...I think I'm going to have to twin turbo the '66 for my boost fix now

Poor intake manifold...all nicked up again, hehe, just kidding, its looking really good....though a suggestion....at some point that exhaust manifold will need to be re-painted...I think last time(about 3 or 4 years ago) I used some high temp nu-cast iron paint...used it on the turbine housing too, unfortunately the high heat does tend to eat the paint there

Im not too worried about it. I dont look at it much. I need to PC the vc and intake manifold.

MS was shipped today. Im hoping to get my car tuned asap and get her to the track a week from friday. Im hoping the axles will hold up. One on my other neon has a warrenty on it so Ill probably throw it on there. Also will take a spare for each side. Wish I had slicks

I doubt you will break an axle without slicks in all honesty...I never did...with no wheel hop the stress on the axles is minimal...you will get a ton of wheelspin though, 1st gear will b e worthless...look into swapping to a equal length halfshaft setup....you can use the jackshaft from a PT cruiser and a PT cruiser passenger side axle...

viewtopic.php?f=48&t=295808&hilit=1st+gen+axle+upgrade

heres a link for more info...its what I planned on...will also give you more room for the oil filter relocation lines if thats still an issue for you as it was for me....also a LSD should be high on your list to help with traction

I recently ripped the cover off there. I got my ms in. Im working on getting the correct code reflashed into the ecu. I installed the fan on the oposite side of the radiator. I also built a battery tray and installed it. I havent put the bumper back on yet so I hope it will fit.

Ignore the battery hanging out of the tray. Its built for my optima and this one dont fit well. I had to get it charged.

Got it tuned some more. Its getting close to done. Im trying to finish it myself. Its been raining here for the past week or so. I have a problem (go figure) Head MAY be warped. I have a exhaust leak somewhere. Its not in the exhaust and I just replaced the gasket between the turbo and the downpipe.

The car hauls *a#S!d^f* though. Added a little timing is SOOO much smoother in boost. Im going to have to get a different MBC the lowest it goes is 15psi and thats too much for normal driving. Spins tires so bad. Spins in 3rd unles its warmer out. I need to get LSD but I dont have money to throw around right now. So Ill get one someday hopefully.

Its leaking at the downpipe  Im going to pick up some new bolts (old ones are getting rounded off) Get some lock washers. Its hard to get the bolt tighened all the way down b/c the exhaust is kinda prying on it. There is also a tight bend.

doubtful its the head thats warped....more likely the flange on the manifold if the leak is there at all and not the downpipe, I would think the copper gasket would take care of it

I started it up and felt air leaking around the bottem bolt (the worst one to get to) Bolt backed out a little and was leaking from the bolt hole.

Exhaust has been redone. When I was tighening the bottem bolt I punched a hole in the tubing. Its has a new flange welded on it and goes out about 4ish inchs then goes down. The wastegate dump has been shortened since the exhaust is where it was at. Ill get some pics sometime.

I havent started it yet b.c I broke my timing belt yesterday  I hit a bump in the road, it broke the alternator belt (looks tweeked new) it in turn broke the timing cover, then wrapped itself around the crank pulley and exploded the timing belt. I found a piece of the timing cover but no belt. After I hit the bump I seen some black debries fly out. I have the worst luck.

holy hell, how did that happen? thats just crazy, I know I had the upper timing cover off because the crane cam gear adjusting bolts scraped it inside...just not sure how a bump can break an alternator belt...
