Got it tuned some more. Its getting close to done. Im trying to finish it myself. Its been raining here for the past week or so. I have a problem (go figure) Head MAY be warped. I have a exhaust leak somewhere. Its not in the exhaust and I just replaced the gasket between the turbo and the downpipe. The car hauls *a#S!d^f* though. Added a little timing is SOOO much smoother in boost. Im going to have to get a different MBC the lowest it goes is 15psi and thats too much for normal driving. Spins tires so bad. Spins in 3rd unles its warmer out. I need to get LSD but I dont have money to throw around right now. So Ill get one someday hopefully. Its leaking at the downpipe Im going to pick up some new bolts (old ones are getting rounded off) Get some lock washers. Its hard to get the bolt tighened all the way down b/c the exhaust is kinda prying on it. There is also a tight bend.

doubtful its the head thats warped....more likely the flange on the manifold if the leak is there at all and not the downpipe, I would think the copper gasket would take care of it

Exhaust has been redone. When I was tighening the bottem bolt I punched a hole in the tubing. Its has a new flange welded on it and goes out about 4ish inchs then goes down. The wastegate dump has been shortened since the exhaust is where it was at. Ill get some pics sometime. I havent started it yet b.c I broke my timing belt yesterday I hit a bump in the road, it broke the alternator belt (looks tweeked new) it in turn broke the timing cover, then wrapped itself around the crank pulley and exploded the timing belt. I found a piece of the timing cover but no belt. After I hit the bump I seen some black debries fly out. I have the worst luck.

holy hell, how did that happen? thats just crazy, I know I had the upper timing cover off because the crane cam gear adjusting bolts scraped it inside...just not sure how a bump can break an alternator belt...

Me neither but I was going a bit fast. Maybe when the flex pipe hit the ground it jerked the motor and tweaked the alternator. The alt. is sitting a little off right now. All I know for use is after I hit the bump I pulled over the alternator belt was wrapped around the crank and the timing belt was missing. Trying to figure out how to take the belt off its wrapped tight.

I would take the pulley but wont be able to get you another for a couple weeks right now since I have other stuff to take care of, but if you happen to have a stock 2.0L pulley sitting around, you could swap it out for that temporarily

I would have to buy a second belt too wouldnt I? I dont have a extra anyway. What belt do I need BTW? I probably wont have it together for at least 2 weeks so that would wrk.

I got the belt on I just need to retime it. Its off a tooth. I ordered timing covers for 32 shipped I also picked up new hallman in cabin boost controller for cheap off ebay. Also picked up a couple used 17s. Right now after I get it tuned I well be done with everything motor and performance wise for now. Im wanting to sandblast the intake manifold and see how it looks. If it looks bad Ill repaint it. Im going to paint the brake calipers red. I would like to focus on cleaning up the car some more. Fix the wiring all the way. Dont know if you guys have been following my thread in the pits. I just had sugery on my ACL. They took a hamstring graph to repair it. I can barely walk. I had it about 5 days ago. I have to keep a machine on my knee almost all the time or my knee swells really bad. So Im off work for probably 3 more months. So I have alot of time to think about what I want to work on and probably wont ever get it done. Hopefully within the next couple weeks Ill be able to get on my feet some more.

I got the back timing cover on. The old one was busted up good. I got it timed, Im working on getting the pulley off. I started it up it took a couple mins. It didnt want to idle very good. I didnt have the crank pulley on and didnt have the side moter mount on. Hopefully everything is ok.
I had surgery this 10 days ago. So Its hard to work on my car.
UPDATE today I started WALKING without crutchs. Complete awesomeness, I got T-covers on and its almost done. All thats left is to bolt the crank on (already started), get a alt. belt, bolt up to motor mount and start it up. Hopefully that will be tomorrow.
27th Now where they took out the hamsting graph is infected. I got everything together now I need to bend the alternator bracket back so its straight. I painted a caliper since the wheel is off. Going friday to get the stitchs out.

Got her all together and started her up... It ran like crap boost gauge was bouncing around from 10-15 Vac. I let it run for a few mins. The af/r's were at 10. I got a compression tester cyl1 0, cyl2 160, cyl3 150, cyl4 150. Im so *a#S!d^f* Guess its going to set there for awhile. I dont see how the valves are bent.

Damn man, seems like it's one thing after another. Leave it for a few days, but don't say screw it, it will eventually run. Great Job on it so far btw.

kind of disappointing to know that a 2.4 with wiseco low compression pistons isn't non-interefernce with 2.0 cams.
the cams are hardly any bigger than stock.
wiseco obviously failed in designing the valve reliefs to clear correctly.
it'd be different if you were running huge cams or high compression.
low compression + small cams = one would expect it to still be non-interference.

They are going to upgrade to the Bouch drivers and im having a tach output soldered in. I put in a new radiator and fan. I managed to destory the old fan and radiator. I got a slim fan so I could mount it on the other side of the radiator. It went it easy and seems very sturdy. Here is how you wire the tach output I havent tried it yet but its the wiring I got from Megamanual. I modified it to are car. (just knocked off the 2 other coil ouputs) I also have my MBC mounted. All I need to do is connect the lines on the motor side. so wait are those scematics for a tach signal?? to run a factory tach and after market?

On srt forums they said Wiseco pistons will make it interferance. Probably be awhile before I get it back on the road guys. It really sucks. The car is a blast to drive. I have a srt turbo and some other turbo parts if I can find someone to trade for a srt head.....

looking good, its nice to see the cylinders still look perfect too, hows the wiring nightmare coming along? I just did the warlboro install/ 1:1 install/ return line add on my car yesteday, the fuel system is now ready to support a turbo again...well, once I get some 36lbers anyway
