This was a project the team and I tried this year. We put an SRT-4 on the dirt track at our local bull ring. Took it out today for it's first run ever. Let me know what you all think.

Good looker , love the AR tires , we all run them on the compacts here. Try a smaller wheel on the left rear . I run 82'' on the LF & a 66'' on the LR The link below shows my Neon on race Tires . Got any video. post a link if so.What track you all run in west PA. 250 speedway in SE OH is about an hour for PPG.

No they run Fwd & Rwd together. In the video. the 14 is a 2.3 esilsinger lol Pinto, a few mustangs and 240sx or 2 . 80% fwd though . What track you ran in west PA.
250 is long straights tight corners we or at 7900 rmp on 82'' /83'' fronts going in to corner. is your diff locked. or LSD we run a 3.55 tranny LOCKED in 2nd WFO. ps try Goodyear Sprint car fronts the side wall is stiffer . 250 speedway , MCS speedway , Midway speedway . all allow 4 bangers to run race tires. GOOD luck .

I run at Dog Hollow, Marion Center and Thunder Valley. The SRT4 has the LSD. Do you run the smaller tire on your left rear on a FWD?

Yes , puts wieght on the Lf- Rf 83''/84'' 13 psi, Lf 82'' 9 -11 psi both bead locks ,Lr 66''/ 67'' toyo proxy or a 13'' honda 5 lug rim and tire 15psi, RR 81'' cooper cobra 17-20 psi. or 82'' race tire and rim depending on track . ps get it on some scales and change some tire combos and psi, make notes as to what dose what so you can do some Buttucks dynoing at the track .

The srt4 looks cool as heck. The OneLap SRT4 test car killed everyone way back in like 2004, even the AWD cars, but it was driven by a professional. Hopefully yours does as well! Do you expect the FMIC to live long? What are your rules where you run? I didn't think they allowed turbo cars at our tracks, but they may.

I am using a manual boost controller so I think my fmic should last me awhile unless I get a rock in it. Yes, the local track here in Pa has a modified 4cyl division with zero rules towards modifications so I have plenty of room to improve my car.

Manual boost controller relates to a FMIC how? I was wondering with all that bumping and banging, and dirt flying everywhere if it would get busted or plugged. It looks pretty open in front of the IC in the pic, without any mesh, bumper beam or foam, etc. The pic is hard to see or really tell what is there though.

Car looks SICK with those big leaf spring juice wheels on there!! I don't think there is a dirt track around that would even THINK of letting a turbo car on race tires!! Heck most our tracks around here won't let anything but stock cars and JUNK run.... even then they usually out run the RWD 4's (whats left of em at least!)

There is some steel mesh in front of the FMIC. I have three more just in case this one gets damaged. The track I run is pretty special because they have a class where you can run wild with the mods. There are several unique cars out there but I have never even heard of a srt4 on a circle dirt track.

link works ok? what fuel you run we use VP 112. Hang a piece of chain about a foot long on the mesh so it can rattle on the mesh helps keep it clean of dirt and mud ,keep that turbo COOOOOL. we were aloud to run turbos in the late 90s and the danm F*rd probe ruled then , but no more and no awd .

The video link only takes you to the "scottbush95's" channel main page and the Featured video there, not any specific video. If that's the video you intended, then it "works". It's a year old vid with a car flipping and you winning on the last lap after following a RWD...Pinto? Mustang? I'm not sure which links are the correct ones all the time for YouTube vids, but I normally click on "share", as if I'm going to email the specific video link to someone, then copy the link that's in that email, paste that link, then delete the email.

We need more pics and vids of the SRT4!

Thanks for the tip Dirt Racer. We have another practice coming up this Sat. so I will see about getting a video or at least some more pics.

Just an update. It didnt take long for the SRT-4 to score its first win. After 3rd, 2nd, and 4th place finishes in the first three races, the SRT-4 captured its first win in its fourth race. It is still a work in progress but most of the bugs have been worked out.

I live about 10 miles from Thunder Valley. Might be worth my time to drop by some Saturday night. Where is your garage/shop located?
