Congrats to Scott and crew! :)

I don't think Scott has a major sponsor.
It's not a requirement to have a major sponsor in a pro class. You just need to be able to afford to compete.

Stephanie Eggum just won the HOT ROD class as a privateer as well.

Actually the fastest was 10.14 and a 10.15 plus he is stick shift again and no more ITB Just one huge throttle body that sticks out infront of the hood, the intake is made by darrell cox and it has relief valve similar to blow off valve because they blew the intake manifold apart from the pressure. It almost looks turbo because of the way the throttle body is veiwed through the hood.

The intake wasnt made by Darrell ...

Darell made the billet flange that we use to attach the intake to the head that is what you saw.

The intake and head package is a work in progress developed by Brad at RLZ engineering located in Mooresville NC ...

This motor was a throw together unit uses parts that are 3 years old .. the good stuff is on its way plus we are still trying to get the right transmission combination Still using the 5 speed manual but only using 3 out of the 5 gears ...

Thanks for the support and at least were heading in the right direction ..

That sounds odd. Scott, are there any pictures available of your current set-up?

You should know better than to ask a Pro racer for pics of his engine setup.
Someone else will get pics of it eventually, but things like that are usually kept guarded.

No one is as secretive as you. Obviously no one is going to give out cam profiles, but most won't hide photographs once the season starts.

Especially not when you're the ONLY person in the class running that engine.

BTW congrats Scott. Hopefully the good showing will help you get some funding.

Sorry all I really noticed was the flange, but that intake look bad leaf spring juice I liked in the final when you were feathering the pedal how you could see the throttle bodies butterfly moving. I can't wait till you hit the 9'second club.

Awesome! Its appreciated when one tells their "secrets" because between the "sports" i love to watch/participate in (dBDrag racing, Drag racing, auto-X) i absolutly hate it when people keep everything hidden. I can see some things, but when a person wont even say what brand tires they use... its pretty sad and kills a lot of fun in the sport, especialy for spectating enthusiast!

I'm really feeling the new hood :D

You should setup a fund - I know you've got enough .org supporters at $10/$20 each you could fund travel to one race I'd think at a min. I'd be in.

I was looking more for pics of how the hood had been modified for the large throttle that someone mentioned :).

Great pics Scott, and goodluck.

One of the best racing paint/ body shops here on the east coast did the work for me .. Performance Autocrafters located outside of Fredericksburg VA .. had to take the car there with the intake on it but Barney and crew do an outstanding job ... but you get what you pay for and they are not the cheapest bunch around. but worth the money IMO

WOW

Doing this with sponsers is hard, doing this private is even harder. Just because somthing might be paid for means nothing if your not winning, actually I think its worse for the driver if his car is Paid for and not winning. To see private people running excellent times should never be unoticed by sponsers out there.

Not saying Moler looses all the time just saying I could imagine how hard it is out there running a 1st gen and trying to get sponsers

Nice times.

Keep up the work.

BTW - That thing looks slick with no stickers :P

I just found my new desktop picture
