were u in the show and shine? and the car was built over the winter/spring by my brother, my friend jeff and me so this is the first year for the car, which is why u havent seen it before. we just wanted to come out a couple times this year to have fun and do a good shake down! next year we should be out to more events and more serious about it. and should be in the 11's...

you should have come over. we are more then happy to answer questions! plus neon guys gotta stick together, especially when ur at a import/honda event lol

we are all from aurora, its a srt-4 motor not a stratus, stock mani's stock turbo. its a stock srt-4 motor with a 3" CAI, 3" exhaust, AGP wastegate set at 17psi , and megasquirt controlling it. The megasquirt was built by Nuno out in kitchener.
as far as launch a cant tell u. the megasquirt has a launch control on but we havent used it yet. Id have to guess about 2500-3500 launch. I just launch by feel, make sure the tires are just spinning a tiny bit.

no. i use to go to highway 7 a bit but i found the honda guys never wanted to talk. All I got was dirty looks lol I still go to local car shows and stuff but thats it. and ya man if u want send me ur msn or something and ill let u know they days we go to the track. next season should be filled with lots of them so...

the slicks are 24.5 by 8 M/T's and suspension is stock struts with highrates on the front a xhighrates I think on the back.

Did you have to use spacers with that size slick. I really need a set but i dont want to rub. I have the same set up as you (srt-4 swap) and zero traction in 1st and 2nd so theres no point to me to run on the track until i get a set. 14.0 was my best time on street tires with 2.3 60ft.

ya we had to use spacers. we used 20mm eibach spacers which come with longer studs. if your going with a 23" tire u might get away with a 5mm spacer and not have to put longer studs on. if u have the 3.55 tranny id go with a 23" tire anyway. our tire is a little to tall right now.

wow alot more drag racers in the area then i thought. we should set up a big meet maybe at the start of next season! the car is done for the season obviously (snow this monday...) but our best of the season was 12.4 @110, we have alot of parts to go on so mid 11s is the goal for next season, still stock turbo.

Hey man It was nice to see you out at the track. That was the best showing of neons and SRT's I have ever seen at a CSCS event. Let me know if you still want me to do the cage in your car.

Ya i'm hopefully deep into the 11's next year too... My season's best is 12.3@112 at only 13psi so i think 11's is not to far off... Ya we'll definatley have to have a big meet at the begining of next year...

ya I know man, so many neons! i hadnt been to cscs in a while and last time I went there was like mike a 1 other neon lol! neons are taken over! and ya Ill let you know! we just got all the sound deadening off the floor and we wanna get the trans out so we can start work on that then we will probably bring the car up to u. ill let u know though!

by the way there was a cscs meeting today, did u go? are u planning on going into the super street power adder? we are thinking about it but im not really sure how fast everyone is running. If we dont have a shot at atleast 3rd then I think we will stick to TT for one more season. i know ken shaw runs like high 9's maybe the VR6 to but how fast is 3rd place?
