For those of you who are going to attempt a 2.4 motor mount swap into your 95-99 Neon, you'll need this adapter to mount the engine to the passenger side motor mount.

This motor mount allows you to use your factory unmodified motor mount, along with the 95-99 STRATUS 2.4 motor mount to put any 2.4 motor into your car.

For more information on this swap, please read about it on the Engine swap section at www.neons.org.

This piece is IN stock, and priced at $69.99 plus shipping.

Thank you guys.
Toomanyneons (Barry) is a good guy, and hes got a great piece in making this 2.4 motor mount adapter.

We want to help more Neon owners out there with their swaps, and we want to help out Barry collect more Neons to put in his backyard.

How are we doing that ? We are keeping these adapters IN STOCK, ready to ship by FEDEX. We are just a toll free call away, so if youd like to get one, give us a call ! We can get one of these to you pronto.

Cory

Sweet, I'll have to add that to my list of stuff to get from Modern. Too bad you didn't have those when you sent the Stratus mount bracket up this way :(

Unless Barry can cut me a deal by meeting up

what about the part it bolts to? Where do we get that Stratus bracket? I've ordered one from a dealer, but it's on eternal backorder.

Jeffro below your post is correct.

I just went junkyard searching a few weeks ago and came back with 5 stratus brackets that I pulled myself, and I sold them all on the for sale board.

Keep an eye out on the for sale boards, or search around for 95-99 Stratus 2.4 side mount adapters in your local junkyards.

Didn't like the product as shown here

http://forums.neons.org/viewtopic.php?t=267972

Also look in the top pic of the post the bolt doesn't fit. Also in my package I never got the motor mount bolt (big one) Also overchaged $5 from mp for some reason for this thing.

This may be a dumb question, but what else do I need to bolt the 2.4 (SRT) motor into my 1st Gen? I all ready have this adapter.

Thanks,

Rich

Rich,
You need a 95-99 Stratus 2.4 mount to install this adapter along with a 2.4.

They are somewhat hard to get, because most junkyards wont sell just this motor mount, they want to sell you a whole engine.

I have a few of these though, if youd like to get one, just email me or call me, and I can ship you one.

Image

You can see the motor mount in the photo above.
