Use this with your stock mounts, and cut a small section of the front mount, which you will see where when u bolt it up.

***LOCKTITE*** on the bolts during installation is recommended because of vibration from solid motor mounts or removed balance shafts.

Updated with pics of it installed. This is the only mount bracket needed for your 2.4 swap. Use this with your stock mounts, and cut a small section of the front mount, which you will see where when u bolt it up.

I, too, have seen these pieces. They are very high quality, and well designed.
Makes doing a 2.4 swap that much easier!

Besides, I provided the locking flange nuts for the mounting bolt

Just recieved my mount, and I am rather impressed. Workmanship seems to be top notch, and fits perfect with the stock side mount. Highly reccomended piece for a 2.4 swap.

ok, so this mount works for just a Stratus or PT Crusier 2.4 in a 2nd gen?
Or, for a SRT 2.4 in a 2nd gen.......I'm kinda late to this post

since this is the only one needed what would happen if you used it with an inverted driver side mount? or is this moount adapter prevent you from having to inver the driver side mount?

You bumped my old post y0! Anywho, I have motor mount inserts and I did not invert the mount. I don't know if the insert had anything to do with it, but its not that hard to flip the insert around if clearance issues occur.

I'm building a NHRA drag Neon. I'm using a 2.4 engine in a 95 2 door Neon. Full race, naturally aspirated, auto trans.
Will these mounts be enough? I intend to use some kind of strut to stop engine movement. Or should I use hard(solid) mounts???
Thanks
Art Leong

Ordered a mount adapter through Paypal on Friday, and it arrived INSTANTLY! Well, OK, it arrived Monday, which is amazing! Great quality, even greater service - hope you sell a zillion of 'em.

As soon as the '02 PT motor (30K miles, salvage with guarantee - currently inbound by truck freight) arrives I will put this sucker to good use!

Thanks again,

-J-

I don't believe you need the mount with that engine. My friend just did one on a 2001 PT motor and he didn't need the adapter. I have a brand new PT block sitting here and the mounting bracket can't accept that mount. It is designed for the Stratus and older 2.4 blocks unless I am mistaken. I'm going to be selling my TTi 2.4 adapter very shortly because it isn't needed on the PT motors.

Regards,

B

If the existing PT mount works as-is, I wonder why people aren't just buying the PT mount and using it (cost, maybe?)? In any case, thanks for the heads up! I have access to a Stratus engine mount if that's what it will take. Otherwise, I'm sure I can find one of the locals who could use the mount (it's such a pretty piece of machining I may keep it for a paper-weight if it isn't used)

I tried a 2001 PT engine mount in a 1998 RT frame and had some problems with making it work. So i am now going to use a 99 Stratus mount, and from the pictures (if the stratus mount is the same as in the pictures) it should work with the mount adapter.

I have included some more information about my mount adapters. These work with the stratus engine mount which works on PT blocks. The stratus mount is around $15 from the dealership. I included this in the first thread, but there is a lot of info in there.

When I first started making these, Stratus blocks were readily available for a decent price, so I figured most people would be using them. Now that PT blocks have gone down due to them being out longer, more people are using PT blocks. So anywho, my adapters will work just fine on PT blocks with the Stratus engine bracket.

Oh my god, I have read so much about 2.4 swaps. I have heard that you need some kind of new mount for your alternator. I would be really helpfull if they could put all this info together updated to the max with info on where to get mount mods. And whatever parts are needed in a Stratus/PT 2.4 swap I don't mean to sound like a whining baby who wants the easiest route.. but I kind of do.. and I'm sure this would help a lot of people

$78 shipped paypal to deezdecals@hotmail.com
Inlude what color you want, black or silver with your payment.
*Add $5 for Canada shipping (Priority)

This is the only mount bracket needed for your 2.4 swap. My mount along with a Stratus engine bracket will allow you to use the stock Neon motor mount.

Use this with your stock mounts, and cut a small section of the front mount, which you will see where when u bolt it up.

These babies are high grade aluminum (Fortel® alloy). Comes with all hardware of high grade steel.

LOCKTITE on the bolts during installation is recommended because of solid motor mounts or removed balance shafts.

Email me with any questions.

how about coming up with that bracket thats in the picture below your motor mount bracket attaches to? the other day at work i ran that part number and they say its not in production anymore
so if anyone else is going 2.4 and they dont get the bracket then they are screwed

I ended up buying mine used from some other guy on the forums... he told me the next batch would be done in a week or two, but that was two weeks before my post above. Dodge stopped selling the stratus mount brackets, so you might want to see if you can find one of those first! Good luck guys!

What are the chances of me getting one of these? I heard theres a list longer than there are adapters coming, but I have also seens lots of lists people up on cause they "think" they will have the money in time.

I hope/assume thats the case this time too, cause I need one of these.

I was quoted by my local dodge dealer that I can acquire one for $20. Plus they said it was on backorder and not discontinued. Part no. 4593436-AA

when I went to my dodge dealership, the guy really had no idea what I was talking about! Of course, they were lost on why I was putting PT Cruiser/ Stratus parts in a neon.
