Great idea, I never thought about using -an bulkhead fittings thats the way to go when (not if) mine starts to leak.

So what are you using to seal the hole in the canister? Custom Gasket? or is it tightened down enough not to leak?

Is that an external fuel pump or your fuel filter in the last picture. What brand as well? thanks,
Brian

Looks great....wanna do mine? I'll send you the 95 pump over the winter.
I have no ambition to do the fuel pump modding....but I'm willing to pay for it.

nice....my fuel system seems ghetto by comparison...I just tightened down my 5/16" brass fittings and use gasket maker on them(on the outside, not inside)...no leaks yet...but probably will sometime in the future

i noticed that you didnt use any tee fitting for the pressure relief, is that okay? can you just drill the hole a bit bigger for the return line to go back into the pump or what? i am still having slight hesitation probs at part throttle that is why i ask.

I just noticed this thread(yes I know I'm late), but I'd thought I would add to it.
I didn't exactly do the spoolboy mod, I kind of just went nuts. I have a A1000 fuel pump with Aeromotive filter, -10 feed line from the tank to the pump. I gutted the entire stock pump housing, leaving only the "frame" and the fuel level sender.
I drilled a hole in the outside of the pump housing, ground the surrounding area flat, and installed a -10 90 degree bulkhead fitting, with statoseals and nylon washers on each side. I had to use the nylon washers, my hole wasn't perfect, as the drill bit decided to pop out of the holesaw about 1/2 way through the housing. On the inside of the tank I used a section of stainless 5/8 tube, flared on each side, and bent so it would clear the bottom of the tank.
Where the stock FPR/filter assembly once was, now I had a large hole. As a joke I set a nickel up against the hole to see if it fit as a plug, and what do you know. It was a PERFECT fit. I had to hammer it in place.
Of course that isn't good by itself, so I bought some gasoline proof sealant, and filled the hole about 1/4". I let it dry for a day, then added another 1/4", and then another 1/4" the next day. It's been 5 or so months, no leaks yet, and it looks to be holding up perfectly.
Here is the final setup outside of the tank:
-10 from the tank to the pump/filter, -6 to the oem fuel line which is -5. Then it necks down to -4 under the hood to the fuel rail and FPR.

You need 2 stat-o-seals for each bung fitting. Just do a web search for them and you shall find.

178009 -6an Stat-O-Seals QTY. 2 Per Pkg. 3.52 3.52
Also
I am trying to get my fuel system together. I have stock hardline under the car and the return line is the one they gave me in the hahn kit. Not positive what size they are. Anyways. its 5/16 hose all in the back where the sending unit is but its goes down to 1/4 up at the regulator and on the return line. Is this sufficiant for the spoolboy mod? Should i get a bigger return and sending hard line for under the car? or what? Also can someone give me a list of the stuff i need. that list posted above dosnt really tell u how many u need of each. thanx

If you already have a hahn kit and fuel system I'd just leave it as is. Maybe change out the rubber line for the blue pushlock hose. Other than that the HRC setup should be fine....

Well actually its just the hahn return line. I have a Blackdog High Flow Rail, A Chill Factory FPR, I am scrapping Hahns Fuel Booster With The walbro 255lph and the Spoolboy mod, Also 36lb injectors. As soon as i bought the hahn kit i got the CF regulator so i could run the bigger injectors. And i wanna scrap the Hahn fuel booster Because its loud and because i wanna do the spoolboy mod.

The list is accurate. Unfortunatly the company that I used went out of business.
I do use another...

I've used this company to purchase my parts just last night. So far the service has been great. Online ordering at 10pm just rocks.

So if you go with a MegaSquirt a Aeromotive 1:1 Regulator, and the SpoolBoy Fuel Mod what has to be done to the stock in pump FPR? Do you leave it and can you take it out and just find something to seal it up with?

Hey guys, I need a favor. I need two total 9/16 [-6] stat o seals. Summit is out and so is a few other places. I need them right away. I am doing a customers fuel system and he needs the car back sunday. I would be willing to pay a few more dollars then list price and pay to ship 2 day air. If anyone can help please PM me.
I have tried a bunch of different places and no where that I have looked can get them to me for this weekend

Are you running the return line into the canister? Will that cause problems? I see some using some adapter and dumping it into the filler tube and some in the canister. It says on spool boys mod not to pressurize the canister. I am trying to get my parts ordered for my SRT and I am not sure what to do for it. I have the walboro pump already and a aeromotive FPR. I am in the middle of installing the 50 trim on the car as well. Trying to get the fuel line stuff ordered so I can get moving on this. If anyone has any insight it would be appreciated.

The -6 line just slips over the nipple on the pump and I clamped it on with a clamp that doesn't cut into the hose. The clamp I'm talking about is on the left in that picture. I found one like it at my local auto parts store.

Does it matter whether the fuel pump cannister is air tight? IE what if the holes for the feed and return into the cannister are bigger than the hoses going into them?
Thx
No, you don't want the lines to be completely sealed because if they are sealed then you will pressurize the cansister which is a bad thing. So like boost junkie did as I already asked him you can enlarge the holes slightly so it won't do this. That's all I did and mine is perfect never had any problems so far. Just don't go too large because if they are too big then getting the pump to sit in the cansister good might give you problems. You could even drill a small hole up higher in the canister to prevent it from being pressurized. You are running your return line into the canister right? Because some don't do this well some return line kits don't which is why I asked wasn't sure if you were doing it all by yourself fuel line wise.

i went to order some stat-o-seals and it won't tell me a shipping quote before i order it, i'm not giving my credit card info and letting them charge whatever they want for the parts, is there anywhere else to order them?

I just got mine through summit when I placed an order for other stuff I needed. The first set I ordered through Baker I got the wrong size and they charged $11 to ship 4 stat-o-seals.
