Yep, normal 3" V-band. It's thicker than ebay junk though, so don't get an ebay clamp unless you want to fight with it.

Provided it's a clog, it's not the injector's fault. No injector can keep out contaminants. But we'll know soon enough.

Re: some fun info about FIC and other ID copy cats
I have tuned a TON of cars. My first choice is ID. 2nd choice is any other using the same base injector. 3rd is RC/Accel/OEM. 4th is Low-Z ANYTHING. I sell ID, FID, and RC. All of which do their job well. In an engine where air distribution at WOT can vary +/- 10%, I don't find it's very useful to f...

Re: just curious
All depends on the turbo and the engine. For a typical small turbo like most use as a beginner turbo, you will make around 10whp for each psi of boost except the first one is worth 20. That curve drops off after about 15psi. Bigger turbos make more power, but don't spool until you are at high rpm.

Re: timing base map
Yea, that's pretty rough. Is it a SOHC or DOHC? Are they big nasty cams or stock? Somewhere in between? That timing table is about what I would use with a very low compression 2.0 with big cams, although it would need lots of tweaking. That's too much timing above 4k for a 2.0 otherwise. Not that ba...

ASP has switched over to carrying DIY Autotune units, which is where Matt Cramer comes from. DIY has been around a long time, and the likelihood of them disappearing is extremely low. I'm not familiar with Rick's experience, quality, and reliability, so I can't recommend for or against using him.

Re: Return Line Setup...
Injector flow works off of pressure differential. If the rail has 30psi, and you are running 30psi of boost, no fuel flows. If you run 32psi of boost, the boost goes into the fuel system. If you run 29psi of boost, you are flowing off of 1psid. A 1:1 regulator allows consistent psid throughout the p...

A couple people have had to open up a bolt hole or 2 on the manifolds. Cast stainless moves a lot when it gets hot, and usually very hard to predict. Usually just opening up the hole with a slightly larger drill bit solves the problem with no adverse effects.

They usually made like 9psi on the stock wga. An exhaust leak would cause it to have trouble getting there.

The problem he's having is that with no sensor even connected, 5v is coming out of pin24 on the db37. I've verified with multiple MSQ files, and I promise, the MSQ isn't the issue.

Don't do this. It will cut into the coupler, and after enough pressurizarion cycles, it will start leaking or burst. That's why the bead is usually farther back.

Do a lot of logging. Note actual pulse widths during the issue and when it's not having the issue. That will tell you if it's something that the ms is trying to calculate or something external.

Basically, the older they are, the hotter you're going to need to get them to get sticky. Do longer burnouts on older tires.

Re: how much boost can i run on this set up?
He's actually more right than you guys think. If you pressurize a tank with a small vent orifice to 15psi, a specific volume of air will come out of the orifice regardless of how it's filled. (Assuming it's the same temperature). If more volume is added to fill, the pressure rises. So whether you fi...

Depends on how you want to drive it. If it's a street car, go 3.55. If it's a drag car, go 3.94. If it's an autocross car, depends on too many other factors.
