Yeah didn't catch the "I'd".

:dunno: How many different engine designs are we discussing here? Correct. The above comment was out of context. Well, this seems like a pretty broad statement to me.......... ..and a well-designed engine with .2L more displacement trumps an equally well-designed engine. Some things never change, t...

Tubular SRT manifold for a daytona turbo? Ouch. Should have just used an SRT turbofold and welded a SOHC flange on that. Those things are dirt cheap anymore and will make more power than the daytona turbo.

Crower doesnt measure their cams the same way that crane does. You cannot do an apples to apples comparison between them using normal spec numbers. I did a pretty large amount of research on this a few years ago and posted it here on the forums somewhere.

As a guy that has built and raced many many engines over the last few years, the 'no replacement for displacement' moniker is going the way of the dodo. A well designed setup trumps displacement any day, especially a high effort .2L gain.

The input doesn't match the output. If a consider effort and gamble for such a small torque increase and large margin for error. Darrell Cox used to offer large bore 2.4 blocks to go with his stroker kit for 2.8L total, but the block had to be sleeved because the cylinder walls were too weak for any...

Its an 8.3% increase in displacement and thins out the cylinder walls enough to be a concern in high power apps.
You can make a lot more than an 8% increase for about the same price with a basic nitrous kit. Nobody has put the effort into it because its not worth the effort.

Injectors don't stop flowing above 100% DC. You can still increase the amount of fuel sprayed above 100%. Stop worrying so much about 90%. I've ran 120% on E85. BTW, walbro sells a 400LPH pump that you can get for about 120 bucks. OEM reliable. Also, AEM sells a flex-fuel pump that works with everyt...

I wouldn't do it. The water will eventually pool up in the intercooler. This leads to flow loss and under certain circumstances, possible hydro lock. I don't think the benefits are worth it.

Upgrade the walbro 255 to a larger walbro 400 for an extra 30 bucks and run at least 58 psi base pressure.
Those injectors will handle plenty then.

I dont know about that manifold looks like a terrible design Manifold is a copy of a proven design. Not the best, but it'll work. Looks a lot like my old AGP manifold. Those cams are pretty big for a boost setup. I'd go with something smaller if you can't get the LSA high enough to bring back up the power.
chinese 420a turbo manifolds are pretty cheap on ebay. Might have firewall/alternator clearing issues, but they're a possibility.

Looked for wrecked ones locally. Use www.car-part.com to search for an 04/05 engine. Watch eBay, for sale boards on this forum... etc. You'll need the engine, all of the wiring, ecu, and might even look into getting the gauge cluster and wiring as well.

The OBX needs a brace from the head flange to the turbo flange if you plan to put a big turbo on it, otherwise heat will make it bend/crank. As long as its properly supported its a decent manifold, even though the flange/tubing transitions are HORRIBLE in the manifold. I had one for a while, they ar...

why not? Because twin turbos are most often associated with 'V' blocks that have more than 1 cylinder head so each head can drive its own turbo and make the exhaust plumbing much less complicated. Exceptions to this are some inline 6s, but only because they actually have enough room to mount them. ...

Re: High RPMs ... 2.0L or 2.4L ???
To sum it up: Take your pick, 2.0 or 2.4, its not going to matter. Either way you won't be hitting 8k RPM in a daily driver. You'll need big cams to make power anywhere close to that which will give your car a poor idle and bad city economy. The 2.4 will make the same power at a lower RPM. So if RPM...
Re: e85????
Nitrous can be ran with E85 just fine as long as you get proper jetting to compensate for the larger amount of fuel that will be needed compared to gasoline. The nitrous side of the jet will be the same, but the fuel side will have to be larger since more alcohol is needed compared to gasoline. Most...

The weight difference between a kevlar pan and an aluminum pan wouldn't justify the price difference or difficulty of fabrication. Fiberglass is also a HORRIBLE material to use to make a pan. A/F Issue: You need more than the downpipe unless you have something better to tune with.
