Re: Overheating issue
The recovery bottle must be completely functional, no leaks to the cap. The cooling system should not have any air in it. Any presence of air in the system will allow foaming or bubbles in the coolant and will collect in high spots in the head and cause hot spots which further promotes steam pockets...

Remove as much weight as you can in the upper and rear parts of the car. Lower the rear Engineer an adjustable bump stop on the rf. Put weight on LF. I ran 15" VW wheels on the front of mine. Make adjustable lateral links in the rear so you can skew the thrust line. I chained up my LR to limit ...

I have always run a thermostat in race motors.
Many dont, but then many still run points or centrifugal advance and distributor triggers and also think a MSD and a single coil is the hot setup.
You can make a nice compact loop with copper tubing and some elbows.

OK its running rich and loaded up with fuel, you shut it off. You come back later after it has cooled and try to start it, the computer shivers and says I'm cold and pours more fuel in it, the spark plugs say screw this I'm drowning. You need some kind of fuel control. I'd put a megasquirt on it so ...

Re: 2.4 issues. i need some advice
Aren't Accell injectors low impedance?
A 2.4 should run great with 24# injectors No SAFC needed.
You have other stuff going on Coolant temp sensor is off or the MAP is whacked.
What are trouble codes?
Clear codes and run until check engine light comes on, check codes again?

My guess is that it is loosing sync.
When sync is lost the MS thinks the motor has stopped and turns off the fuel pump.

Boosted or not gasoline power output decreases sharply with a richer mixture.
This is one of the benefits of using alcohol fuels, they have a broader tuning window before the power drops.

You may want different offsets to adjust the handling of your car. Moving the tires in gives more side bite, moving them out less. You probably dont want to run tires that big in the rear, I was always working on the rear of my car to help the car turn. I could never get enough tire in the front to ...

To fix the fuel problem I ran a small fuel cell in the trunk. http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww101/rickb794/fuelcell.jpg Weld a fitting into the end of the fuel rail for the line to the regulator. This will circulate the fuel in the rail and keep it cool and also eliminate any air bubbles in the...

You would be amazed how much the motors move in the mounts (even with filled mounts). There are 9 different ways to do it, take your pick. I used a 1gen cloud car donor. (and cloud car accys) Don't forget the 24# injectors, many say you don't need them, but rave when they install them. (not 19# not 21#, 24#) Some need a 58# regulator as well. Use a PT exhaust manifold instead of a he...

A bad alternator, dead battery, battery charger (especially one on BOOST) will give your MS a seizure. Charge the battery first, I charge them overnight with a FLOAT type charger (Battery Tender) I leave a battery tender on any stored battery (it dramatically extends battery life). CHANGE YOUR OIL!!!!
