I searched yesterday, didn't see any. If I remember right, Ed banned any pics/video of the talk but leave it to you to not care about rules against pictures. At least you couldn't get arrested over it there! 😂

Wish he didn't get strange after the Colorado meet. He used to call me almost every week and wow did he have a lot to say. Eternal rest! I'd say at least 3 times since then I'd get "Who is this? Terrible news, he was a great guy. It made me smile to see him and Jacob. At n2k6 we were all introducing ourselves by screen name and Ed stops us and asks, “where is Chipdogg, which one of you is Chipdogg?” He definitely left a lasting impression on me. Haha yeah, he helped guide me from the total...

Re: New: 97-99 Radiator fan relay replacement

How does everybody that installs a 97-99 PCM in a 96 get away with it? I'll do some playing this weekend with a 99 R/T and see what it does before I sell any then. In theory, as the PCM ramps up the voltage via PWM, the average voltage would need to reach a certain point before the relay closes. How...

Re: New: 97-99 Radiator fan relay replacement

At "low" speed when the PCM goes at 30% duty cycle, the voltage wouldn't be enough to close the relay (3.6 volts). It first goes to 30% then immediately ramps up to 100%. It doesn't infinitely vary the fan speed. I was told it is to reduce the immediate load of the fan that can cause lights to dim b...

Re: New: 97-99 Radiator fan relay replacement

No different than the people that run a 97-99 PCM in a 96 and swap the pins. And cycling the ground that fast would result in an average voltage that would either close the relay or leave it open instead of clicking open/close that many times a second.

Still working on these but I received the connectors today. New: 97-99 Radiator fan relay replacement

For those with a 97-99, I've made a direct replacement for the expensive solid state fan relay that likes to fail. Plugs right in and bolts to same location as the original one. Sealed connectors and sealed relay. Basically being able to install a standard relay into a 97-99 Neon without any re-wiri...

Re: Car Died!

Pop out the spark plugs, unplug injectors/coil pack and crank it. See if air comes out of the spark plug holes. Ghetto "compression test" but will verify if your rods are still all attached since you think some broke. Isolate the cylinder(s) that are misfiring and make sure they have spark yet.

Missing 30-amp mini fuses and some pins for the connector to go at the end of this. https://scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xat1/v/t...

Yes, just the 5th gear and the reverse brake, which goes on the end of the input shaft and locks into the case when assembled. Probably fell off input shaft when you flipped it over like that unless your bearing is still on the end with the pieces of broken case.

The case likely needs to be replaced if you broke off all of the ears that held the bearing. I have a pile of them in my shop and another pile in the back of my truck going to scrap.
