This swap is old enough that everything has been well documented. Check the sticky posts. There's honestly so much information it's probably been posted about already. Haha wow, it's been a long time. Finally getting back into neons. The current coupe I've had I think since 2010, but never drove it or even transferred the title until a month ago. I've I already swapped some of my old parts onto it with much more to go

Re: New member from Florida

Another Florida neon and another first gen at that! It seem we have way more left here in FL than I realized. Makes me miss the old days of FloridaNeons.org when we rented out the racetrack for our annual meets. The site is gone other than the main page, but I still maintain the Facebook group. http...

a DA sander might be your best bet. your going to have to sand alot to get it prepped for primer and then again for paint anyway. for blasting body panels sand would be much to aggressive but there are other compounds used I think baking soda is one. from what I'm told that's a PITA to clean up as w...

Old trick but keep in mind the amount you have to use to get the same effect as the higher quality deadener can bring the cost and weight up.
It really comes down to how much you need to cover and how effective you need it to be

Pretty much any FM transmitter you will find will suck, especially any made within the last few years since the FCC has forced to put out a weaker signal.
IMO get a headunit with an AUX in. Most have them on the face now and are really cheap

Good work so far.
Though Im not sure I understand why you did all that work with the fiberglass mirrors
I would think you can get the same look by sanding and painting the mirrors if you take your time
