Have you noticed any other strange issues, or things that have stopped working ?? Off the top of my head... I would try checking the electrical ground, for the radio and dash. I don't have a picture of it. It is basically 'hidden' behind the radio. My guess is that there is some corrosion taking pla...

Re: open loop reading to DS cooling fan

Question:
Is the radiator cooling fan(s) coming on at idle, when you have your A/C turned on ??
The Radiator fan should kick on at idle with the A/C on, a few seconds after it engages.

Does the engine run hot if left idling in traffic too long ??

Engine Oil Additives: Do they work?

'Sometimes'.

'Your results may vary' (depending upon the particular engine condition, what is worn, how much it's worn, what is making the noise, climate, temperature, base oil used, etc., etc.)

My brother had the multi spoke 2003 Sebring wheels, well, because it was a 2003 Sebring. He had more issues with those wheels than you could shake a stick at. When the car got to the point it wasn't worth putting cash into, I think he took them for aluminum scrap, and used the engine to SRT swap hi...

Re: Losing some power

If you have not done so already, I would check fuel pressure. My thoughts are that you have a fuel pump that is getting weak. When it starts to get hot... It starts getting weak. Perhaps shutting the engine off, allows it to cool off enough, to regain some lost PSI. While you are at it, also check t...

If you don't have access to a Fuel Pressure Gauge, you may need to take this to a mechanic, and ask to have the fuel system checked to make sure the PSI falls within spec. (49 psi for all 1995-2000 Neons; 58 psi for 2001-2005.)

On Neons with two radiator fans, there is a length of 'jumper' wiring, running voltage from from the wiring harness, to the 2nd fan. The wiring harness has a connector that plugs directly into the 1st fan. For those Neons that had a 2nd cooling fan, there was a short 'jumper' harness that plugs into...

I am wondering if there isn't something else (CTS, etc) that is throwing off fuel trims or the PCM. - Nick
