Would people without a Neon be allowed to attend? My first car was a 1997 Dodge Neon SOHC 5Sp Coupe base (literally no options per the window sticker) and I'm nostalgic. I try to find one like my car, a stick first gen coupe with any options or colors but they seem hard to find nowadays.

Definitely....... and the great thing is, it won't even cost you a penny.....all the events are free....
Everybody is very friendly and you'll get to see some really nice neons even though the 1st GNs are 20 years old now.

Yes they are getting much harder to find and you'll probably need to have some tools/ basic mechanical skills to keep them on the road. The guys/girls who show up are truly neon enthusiasts and most of them have been around neons since the 90's. They spend a lot of time looking for and finding them all over the U.S. Someone may be able to even give you some leads on what you are looking for.

I do all my own work from basic stuff to full restorations, I currently have 2 Jaguar XKRs and a Jaguar XJR; I mention because you know I work on cars if I'm running English stuff lol. I'd probably show up in my black 07 XKR Coupe.

Sounds cool! I live like eight miles from Fricanos and they used to let people do giant burn outs up this drive they have that's uphill; being aptly named burnout hill. Hopefully they still allow that...

Literally just found out about this! Luckily it’s relatively close by. I don’t have my neon anymore but it would be nice to see some old faces! I won’t be able to make the whole schedule but would love to meet everyone for the racing at 131.

My car shutdown on the highway while I was driving home. I'm not sure what failed, but it looks like the ecu. (99 dohc stock ecu)
Luckily it was near an exit, and I coasted into a parking lot. I'm staying in a hotel walking distance from the car.
If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it. I'm at the Holiday Inn downtown Grand Rapids 310 pearl street.

Thanks for coming to my rescue! I got super lucky where my car shutdown. It could've been in the middle of nowhere.
It was the strangest failure I ever saw. The + wire going to the egr valve had an exposed section that touched the trans bellhousing, and caused a short in the ignition circuit. We fixed it by wrapping it with Scotch tape, lol.

Darian was asking everybody in the hotel parking lot for a PCM just as I was leaving for PA. Glad to hear it was a simple fix......

Every neon enthusiast has learned to use everything and anything to get their cars back up and running. I showed Darian how to use your sock to pop off the clip which holds the manual door handle on if you're in a junk yard and don't have the tool to get that little son of a gun off......Works like a charm.......

I actually had a pmd that maddog sent me a few years back. But I do use that sock/fabric trick to this day!
