The SRT after a good wax

Post by Hex » Sun May 10, 2009 7:45 pm

These are a little more than a month or so old, but heres pics of the SRT after the full treatment. Gave it a bath, went over it with detailer/clay bar, swirl/scratch remover, and finally a wax.

Look at the reflection in the last picture. The car was SO clean/clear after the clay bar I couldn't get over the way it looked.

Yeah I took about a dozen pics. I'll upload some more later.

And yeah I'm slowly returning it back to stock, so I can sell it and buy a Viper

Heh, your SRT is probably as fast as a stock Viper.

One day I'ld like to buy a Viper and video tape some passes of it up against my first gen...and losing. That's before I would start modifying it, of course!

Nice SRT, BTW.

I couldn't possibly leave a viper stock, though. I'm going to use the SRT as a down-payment on a 2nd gen GTS, and all of the money from the parts I sell off of it are going towards my Roe Supercharger fund:
http://www.roeracing.com/ProductCart/pc ... product=32

12 PSI on a stock 2nd gen GTS /w full exhaust and Roe Supercharger = 750whp/900wtq.

They are currently developing a kit using a much larger roots blower to try and compete with the Paxton kits. The good thing about the Roe kits is they are basically plug-n-play as they come with everything (ECU, injectors/rails, intake manifold) and require NO cutting/modifying of the body/frame in any shape or form.

If I lay my cards out right, I'll use the SRT as my down-payment + a few grand in cash, have a $250/month payment on the viper (at the most), and have enough money within 6 months after selling my huge horde of parts to get a Roe kit.

I seen a 2nd gen GTS ACR in limited edition yellow/black sell for $30k on ebay last week. I'll bid on vipers that meet my criteria for a few months until an auction finally ends within my price range. OR I can buy the red/white GTS off of a co-worker if he ACTUALLY sells it to me like he says he will. Either way, I've been going over the numbers rather consistently each month for the last few months to see where I stand financially and use that to predict where I'll stand May of 2010 (when the SRT is paid off completely). From the looks of it, I'm in pretty damn good shape. If i keep this up the SRT will be paid off in January.

lol I'll probably get banned. I'm so dead-set on getting one right now its not even funny. Already looked at a few, went for a ride in one, test drove another.

I would LOVE to keep the SRT as a daily driver, but it can be used as such a large chunk of my viper fund that I really don't have a choice. Its a BEAUTIFUL car that gets looks everywhere I go, and with the huge boost in HP its a blast to drive. I've put a LOT of money/time into the car. At least a dozen .org members have seen it and/or rode in it before and can back me up on that.

You shoulda seen the look on the old guys faces at the Dyno last month. There were a few in there with their mustangs and big trucks that all went before me and hung around to poke fun of my numbers. I made more hp/tq than ANY of them. I spent the next 30 minutes bashing on them

Thought about it, but the roads around here are TERRIBLE so the only means I have to lower it would be coilovers, and I'm not about to put that much money into a car I'm about to sell.

You Know You Drive An Srt 4 when you cant decide whether or not to call it a 'effin neon' or an 'SRT-4'. Depending on the last time it broke down.
