Ive been searching, Reading, researching, and trolling Around the .org for awhile now,and it seem that my time has come for a project log. The plan is to put a srt turbo on my 98 dohc 2Dr.....and it just so happens that Blew the motor that is currently in the car,so what a great reason to to put in a turbocharged motor? right? RIGHT :twisted:

heres a pic of the "new"motor its got barley 100,000 miles on it

new head 30,000 miles ...and i think it came off of an r/t

350z exaust

srt-wheels (sent off to the powder coater to be satin black)

valve cover(also sent off with my brake calipers to be coated porche red)

heres my new intercooler

and a pic held up to the car

mock up of the turbo and head

mock up of motor (also has head shim)

and my new rotors(power stop baby any know where i can get some ss brake lines?)

more to come but im tired

ok I lied I cant sleep so here the list of parts I'm currently waiting on

gauge trim with pods
a pilar gauge pods
aem cam gears
aem uego a/f gauge
srt turbo warning sticker
AOBE map clamp
fuel pressure gauge
HID kit

still need to buy
boost controller
turbo timer
walbro modded canister(i dont want to do this so is anybody selling 1)
rrfpr
radiator

got my hid kit in the mail yesterday

the bulb is an H11 6000k

installed them last night it took 20 mins

little bit of an update i recived my gauge cluster trim with to pods in itand my mech fuel gauge

I have :
Boost
AEM a/f
oil pressure
volt
fuel pressure
and i have a dual A-pillar pod coming what gauge should go where?

fuel pressure is mech so its got to be mounted outside

No reason - i just like it :)

The ic I have is nice (picked it up cheap), but the exit pipes are a bit on the difficult side. Running OVER the intercooler on a 2.4 turbo application won't be happy. Trying to figure out if it can be done OR if i should look at another ic OR see if this one can be chopped and glued :D

Update!!!!

I Have put the head on the block and bolted on the turbo and intake manifold

what color shoul i powder coat my intake manifold?

OK i have a couple of questions.
where should i pick up oil from?

From the cylinder head? ( shiny bolt in the top left corner )

or the block

What is this for?

Lilltle update on parts as well never Deal with AEM direct off eBay i ordered a set of cam gears and they sent me 1 gear and said i would have to purchase the other 1 separate A$$ HOLES!!!!!!
i have received all my parts except 1 cam gear and my boost controller now I 'm waiting on my stuff to come back from the powder coater

i used the oil pressure sending unit port on the back of the block for my oil pickup

#2 is the crank sensor..
#1 im not sure...

I feed my turbo off the head. Been fine for about 10k now...

#1 is a plugged threaded hole that you can use for for coolant into the turbo. If I remember correctly, the coolant line off the turbo screws in perfect.
